In total, we represent almost 30 car brands and 10 truck and bus brands. In addition, our dealership locations service over 1 million vehicles across Australia and New Zealand per year. Our service offering includes the sale of new and used vehicles, service, parts and facilitates allied consumer finance for our customers.
Our operations are located in Brisbane, regional Queensland, Adelaide, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region, Tasmania and Auckland, New Zealand.

Our Origins
Eagers’ origins date back to 1913 when Edward Eager and his son, Frederic, founded their family automotive business, E.G. Eager & Son Ltd, which continues today as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eagers Automotive Limited.
Crowds flock to see Fred Eager and Whitey in Toowoomba on 5 July 1918 after his attempt to set a new record from Brisbane. From the Treasury Building to the Toowoomba Post Office took 2 hours 7½ minutes, the time recorded by a watch in a sealed packet carried by the driver and opened on arrival. Even by then, the 1912 Overland had over 140,000 miles on the clock. At centre right, in a flat cap, is Wally Webb, Fred Eager’s constant offsider and expert motor mechanic.
After establishing the first motor vehicle assembly plant in Queensland in 1922, the business secured the distributorship of General Motors’ products in Queensland and northern New South Wales in 1930 and listed as a public company in 1957 under the name Eagers Holdings Limited.
A merger in 1992 with the listed A.P. Group Limited saw the addition of a number of new franchises and our name change to A.P. Eagers Limited. Further new franchises and geographic diversification followed.
In 2019 we celebrated the amalgamation of AP Eagers Limited (APE) and Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) coming together to become one connected entity now named Eagers Automotive Limited – and as a result have entered into our next chapter with a sense of purpose and as a stronger, and united team striving toward our shared common goal of success.

Our business consists of the ownership and operation of motor vehicle and truck dealerships. We provide full facilities including the sale of new and used vehicles, service, parts, aftermarket care and the facilitation of allied consumer finance.
Eagers Automotive is leading the industry in the design of our automotive retailing and mobility hub which will be set on over 90000m2 of land in Brisbane Airport’s new $300 million BNE Auto Mall, at Brisbane airport The Automall precinct will provide a world-class automotive retailing experience for our customers of the future. By investing in world leading projects like the Brisbane Auto Mall and the race track precinct set to launch in 2023, this will catapult us to the next level of automotive retailing.

We have also announced a new and exciting venture, where we will have the largest new car show room in a shopping centre in Australia. Situated at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in Brisbane, this will allow our customers the convenience of new car retailing and roof top vehicle servicing at a location they already frequent. Another innovative venture to meet the needs of our customers and set us apart from our Competitors.
We are also developing multi-brand service facilities with mobile applications to support our dealerships, expanding the footprint of our national used car brand EasyAuto123, and will be introducing our own Car Subscription Service as an alternative to car ownership, alongside innovative finance solutions – all of which are investments in our company’s future and will see us transform the automotive experience – raising the bar even further for our competition.

The Eagers Automotive Next100 Strategy is our plan to provide integrated mobility solutions for the next 100 years which is aimed at delivering a superior customer experience from a more sustainable and productive cost base. Our Next100 strategy was launched in April 2019 and we are currently 2 years into its realization.

Our commitment to community support for over 100 years led to the establishment of the Eagers Automotive Foundation in 2013. The foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to supporting our communities and worthwhile causes by engaging with our stakeholders and utilising our growing scale to actively contribute in meaningful and sustainable ways. The foundation engages in various fund-raising activities aligned with the Eagers Automotive Foundation Vision to “create a lasting spirit of giving within the Eagers Automotive network for those in need in our community.”
In 2020 the Eagers Automotive Foundation and our dealership teams supported over 60 different local communities and charities across all of our areas of operation in Australia and New Zealand.
