About the opportunity

Uniting Treetops Preschool in Warriewood is a purpose-built preschool nestled in the grounds of Pittwater Uniting Church, in a unique bushland setting. Our preschool operates from 8am – 4pm during school terms. Our program has a strong focus on inclusion, providing an engaging, warm, and inspiring play-based learning environment.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Inclusion Support Teacher to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, three days per week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday working 8.30am – 4.00pm each day commencing Thursday 30th January 2025. (22.5 hrs per week)

 Your work may include:

  • Support children’s inclusion and participation within the preschool program.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community. Liaising with families and allied health professionals. 
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • Contributing to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.

 Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor of Teaching/Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an ECT
  • A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families, allied health and community members.
  • Knowledge of child protection practices.
  • A willingness to engage and incorporate our Christian ethos into daily curriculum is expected.
  • A passion for nature pedagogy is desirable.
