This is an exciting opportunity for a person who would like to start a career in Early Learning. This full time Traineeship allows you to study while gaining valuable experience in the field. About the Service
As part of the new inclusive campus community at Uniting Westmead Early Learning, our long day care centre offers unique learning opportunities, with 75 places for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, a fire pit, chickens, large free flowing learning spaces which bring the indoors outdoors. Uniting Westmead Campus comprises of an Early Learning Centre, Residential Aged Care, Retirement living, Seniors Gym and a café open to the public. This provides opportunities to participate in Intergenerational programs as well as connecting with the local community.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Trainee, you will be allowed to study while gaining valuable experience in the Early Learning field. You’ll learn to provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your work may include:
- Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Commitment to studying and learning while working in a rewarding environment
Who we’re looking for
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- No previous qualifications of certificate 3 in Early Learning
- Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
